Data sharers can set different access permission levels based on the roles and needs of team members, such as administrators and regular users. Administrators have full control over data operations and management, while regular users can only view data and add comments, but cannot manage, edit, or delete data. (1) Real-time Collaboration and Editing:

The SGS Genome Browser supports real-time online collaboration, allowing multiple users to simultaneously edit and annotate features such as gene symbols, SNP IDs, and peak IDs within the same data set. Additionally, a sidebar displays the real-time operation history of each user, with the ability to click and jump directly to view specific actions. This synchronization significantly accelerates the exchange of information among team members, making the decision-making process faster and more efficient.

(2) Document Comments:

The SGS Genome Browser introduces a convenient document comment feature, enabling users to add comments directly on specific data features within the visualization interface. These comments can include questions, suggestions, explanations, or any discussion related to the data. Other users can clearly see these comments and respond or further discuss them as needed. This facilitates in-depth communication and collaboration among team members regarding specific genomic content.

(3) Collaboration History Viewing

By clicking the 'Collaboration History' button, SGS enables users to view the complete history of all collaboration operations conducted by different users. To quickly access a specific collaboration action, such as a comment or a feature rename, simply click on the relevant log entry.

Collaborative Cell Type Annotation:

SGS supports multiple users in annotating cell types for the same single-cell or spatial data set. Team members can jointly participate in identifying and labeling cell types, with each user classifying and annotating cells in the data set based on their professional knowledge and analysis results. Users can click the "Edit Custom Group" button to add custom groups, aiding in collaborative cell type annotation.
